New Beginnings

Hello everyone! I have been told a few times that I have needed to create a blog and share the adorably funny experiences that I have with my kids and that's what I'm going to do. I work with autistic kids at Heartland Elementary school and absolutely LOVE my kids. I have never experienced so much joy and frustration from the same job, but every minute is worth it. I get to teach, play, and help them learn how to deal with life. I've worked at Heartland since August of 2011 and because of this wonderful experience, I am going to further my education by going into Special Education. I also have another part time job at Staples so as of now, my life consists of work and sleep. Softball will be starting up soon and I absolutely cannot wait! I've played fastpitch since I was 12 and it will always be a part of my life. I play everywhere but pitch and catch, but my favorite place to play is 3rd base. I've made so many friends and have so many connections because of softball and am so grateful. My younger sister KT also took up softball a few years ago and let me tell you... she is one AMAZING 13 year old player (who funnily enough is fantastic at the thing I am worst at, PITCHING). This spring/summer/fall I'm planning on playing on a few slowpitch teams as well as a fastpitch team.

Now onto future plans and dreams (it's pretty hard to determine which is which):
First off I'm getting me a car. I've managed without one for 3 years (bless your heart UTA), but its time to get me some wheels. Luckily I've been saving all of my pennies and should have one in a month or two.
Secondly, I'm heading back to school in the fall. I've taken some time off ever since I moved back from Weber and it has been such a blessing. I've been able to work a ton, save lots, support friends and family through tough times and deal with my own struggles, which I wouldn't have been able to do if I was still up in Ogden.
I'm alson planning on travelling to Germany. I've been there once before and fell in love! So that means this year I am going to learn German. I already know some, but I definitely need to know how to carry on a little conversation and should learn how to say "I'm American, I'm lost, and I'm hungry". I think that will be a useful phrase for me.

Well hopefully my stories to come will put a little smile on your face as you remember that life sure is hard, but there are small experiences and moments that make it worthwhile.
